It was pointed out to me recently that the folks posting here haven't been putting their job titles on their posts. You all know who Bob Roll is and Dave Perewitz but, it was pointed out to me that we said in the beginning that you'd get to know the internal team Kryptonite, too, through this blog. However, if readers don't know these people already they would not necessarily know who someone is or even if they worked for Kryptonite or were just a guest.
So...with that being said, we'll start adding people's job titles to the posts and, I'll reintroduce those that you've met already....
Dwight Gibson - he's our GM...expect to see lots of posts on our new Justice League locks in the coming weeks from Dwight.
Karen Rizzo - she's our director of marketing and a little shy, but don't worry, she'll get there.
Tim Clifford - he's our director of sales for action sports. He doesn't like fireworks in the middle of the night so much, if you remember....but he's a good writer. I want to see him here more often (hint, hint).
Roby Holland - our national sales manager for action sports. He started riding earlier this season and posting here, but we haven't heard from him in awhile. I know he's riding, though, since he's training for the Cycle for Life.
Dave Miller - he's our machinist and just loves the 4th of July! He's always in such a great mood that I call him "smiley".
Melissa McPherson - she's in customer service and lead the charge in protecting the turtle laying her eggs here earlier this spring.
Craig Glab - our newest poster here....Regional Manager, Midwest. You'll be hearing from Craig often as he's putting his bobber together.
And me...the chatty one...but you know me already.
I've got a few more people lined up for you to meet, too. We aren't a shy bunch, but sometimes new products, catalogs and trade shows get in the way doing some posts. But, you'll be meeting more of us soon....

Surprise Guest
It was a quiet afternoon around here today. Lots of people were out at meetings and I was cranking away here at my desk. Melissa comes and and brightens my day when she says, "Michael Zane is here."
For those of you who don't know, Michael is the founder of Kryptonite. He and his family grew this company from one lock to..well, oodles of locks. Michael traveled around in a VW Van to shops and colleges around the country selling his locks and building relationships that we still have today with many of you out there.
We don't see Michael often around the office any longer, but it's always good when we do! He's family, after all. What a great surprise!

Happy Day Before Vacation!
This is a quick note to tell you that I am finally getting some long-needed time away from the office and attending to that unbreakable bond I have with my husband. I'll be on vacation for the next 10 days, looking at very different scenery than I normally see here in New England. So, during my absence, I leave you in the capable hands of Donna (who hasn't really left our blog family, if you noticed) as well as Eric, Craig, Melissa, Roberta and some of the other talented contributors on our team. I hope to have some good adventures to share with you on my return.

Red Sox!
by Melissa McPherson, Customer Service
Today is the unofficial start of spring here at Kryptonite. It may appear to still be winter with snow on the ground and cold temps but Red Sox training camp kicks off today in Ft Myers Fl.
Our customer service team (Donna, Joe and myself) have been counting down the days for the past 2 weeks.
Usually birds chirping, flowers blooming and sunny skies gives you that warm spring feeling but in our office the sounds of bats hitting balls and Jason Varitek in uniform lets us know spring is right around the corner.
Opening day at Fenway Park for the 2004 & 2007 World Champs is just 7 ½ weeks away….but hey who’s counting?!

Not your average customer
Today we had a little vistor in our backyard. It seemed that a turtle had taken a wrong turn into our driveway and appeared lost so we contacted animal control to help our little friend back to the pond out of harms way. It seems our turtle friend was not lost at all. We learned that turtles go back to where they were hatched to lay eggs so this poor turtle made her way up a steep hill to go lay her eggs on the side of our building. We also learned from animal control that she will lay these eggs and bury them and in 10 days they will hatch and find there way to the pond on their own.
I wonder if she was stopping by to get a Kryptonite lock so nobody will mess with her eggs!

Red Sox WIN in Japan
The HUGE Red Sox fans in the office (Melissa, Donna and Joe) wanted to make sure you all knew that the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox started the new season the way last season ended - with a win.
The Red Sox defeated the Oakland A's today in Tokyo. Score: 6-5.
Great way to start the season. Go Sox!

Breakable Bonds
Welcome to the BAY State! This has more meaning to New Englanders today than it did last week. In a 3-team deal six year Red Sox veteran Manny Ramirez went to the "Red Sox" of the West Coast, LA Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirate Jason Bay came to Boston. By the way, Bay’s first game at the home of the Green Monstah had him slugging a triple in the 12th inning to set up the win; second game – home run over the wall!

Reporting Live from Fenway Park....
Melissa McPherson, Red Sox Fan and Customer Service Rep
It's Opening Day at Fenway Park. You can feel the excitement in the air here at Fenway. There is a crazy atmosphere and tons of people just hanging out waiting for the start of the game.
The weather is nice for a New England April day. Not too cold and it is sunny. We are having a blast so far!
The Ring Ceremony is at 1pm. The first pitch at 2:05pm by DICE K!
