Incredible Hulk Anyone?

Although I'm back from vacation, I haven't had the chance to see The Incredible Hulk yet. But, lots and lots of people did from the box office returns.

Did you see it? Was there a Kryptonite chain or lock in it? While they were filming we worked with the crew to send up some locks for a possible early scene where someone rides a bike up to a building and goes inside. Who knows if it got cut or not, but if you saw the movie, or if you are going to see the movie, let me know....do you see a Kryptonite lock there? Either a New York Chain or an Evolution Mini.

C'mon....don't keep me in suspense....did you see the movie? Is it any good? And...of course, did you see a lock?

Brad Pitt and Kryptonite

That's the subject line of an email I woke up to this morning from Fritz. I was curious because we don't have any kind of deal with Brad (I wish...) or anything in the works. I didn't think Fritz would be pulling my leg about this one, though....

Seems like Mr. Pitt has a new movie scheduled for release later this year called, "Burn After Reading". Big surprise, he's starring opposite George Clooney. Anyway, I'd seen this picture somewhere before of Brad on a Bianchi but didn't pay too much attention to it, although I should have...if you look closely there is something that should have popped out at me. But, I was a slacker that day, apparently, and it didn't.

However, the photo Fritz sent me is amazing...check it out:

Do you see what I see? Yes, people, that's a big honkin' Kryptonite chain that Brad Pitt is rockin' on that bike. I don't know much about the Coen brothers movie, but they were filming in New York so at least this part of the set dressing is authentic.

Is there any doubt what movie I'll be first in line for as soon as it comes out? I'm going to have to remember that I'm in a theatre, though, so I don't start jumping up and down while wildly clapping when this shot (or something similar) comes on the screen. I'll work on that...but no promises.

Thanks, Fritz!!!!

Gone, Baby, Gone

Sorry for the quiet time. I was out taking a 4-day weekend. It was much needed and, although hectic, it was fun. I thought about blogging, but sometimes you really just need to unplug, you know? So, it never got past being thought about.

I know this site isn't about movies, but hey it's what is on my mind today. Saw a great movie this weekend, as you can guess from the title of the post. "Gone, Baby, Gone" is fantastic! If I was given a vote by the academy, I'd vote Ed Harris as best supporting actor to get the Oscar. He was that incredibly good. Scene stealer every time.

In full disclosure, I know the author of the novel and, although I haven't seen him in years, I consider him a friend. Regardless, I'd recommend this movie even if I didn't know Dennis. It's very well done. BUT, I'm warning you now - moral dilemma at the end. So much so that you won't be able to stop thinking about it. Trust me, when I read the book for the first time it stayed with me for at least a week, maybe more. The movie captures that pretty well. Actually, I'd like to see it again and probably will.

Have you seen the movie? Did you read the book? What would you do? C'mon, I want to know. I'm truly curious as to what you'd do in that situation (at the end of the movie/book) and then I'll tell you my thoughts. I just don't want to put them here to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen the movie.

What would you do if you were Patrick and Angie at the end of the movie?

Perewitz Movie Night

by Jody Perewitz

We will be having a Ride-In Movie Night tomorrow night! The idea of it is that people ride their bikes here and sit on them or in the parking lot and watch a movie. Well, I am sure that a lot of people will come with kids in cars but that’s ok too!

We have a big screen that is going on the front of the building and surround sound to make sure everyone can hear the movie. We will be playing Wild Hogs staring Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, and William H. Macy. The movie is a comedy about 4 guys' motorcycle journey 2000 miles across country.

I have seen this idea at some other dealerships and thought it was a great idea. We have 4 bike nights throughout the summer and I like to try a different event in the fall. Previous years we have done a kids day, HOG members day, and now a Ride-In Movie.

Hopefully this event will attract neighbors, motorcyclists, kids, customers and anyone else interested. This should be a fun family event that can tie together motorcycles and families.

The concession stand will be open. We will have fresh popcorn, snacks, candy, and warm hot cocoa in case it gets a little chilly! We are bringing our picnic tables over to the screen so if people come on bikes or anyone that wants to sit at the tables can.

So bring your chairs, blankets, and the kids for Perewitz Movie Night tomorrow October 19th!

Hope to see you there!
